Troove Gets Rich!

Release Date: For Immediate Release

Troove Hires Amber Rich as its new Head of Business Development

Burlington, VT. January 23, 2023 - College search and enrollment innovator Troove has hired Amber Rich as its new Head of Business Development. Rich comes to Troove with an excellent track record in both college admissions leadership and software sales into higher education admissions offices across the US. She will immediately begin building Troove’s customer base with colleges and universities.

Rich brings Troove the perfect blend of deep, first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing college admissions officers today, as well an exceptional track record selling software solutions into this market. “From a shrinking pool of students, to Covid, to new alternatives in online learning, the challenges facing college admissions are real and Amber’s 20 years working on these issues makes her the perfect person to lead our sales efforts,” said David Hurwitt, Founder and CEO of Troove. “She cares deeply about the industry, understands the challenges at a personal level, and has proven herself to be an excellent solutions salesperson. We’re lucky to have her on board”.

Rich spent 11 years in various positions within the Admissions team at Champlain College in Burlington, VT, ultimately leading transfer and international student recruitment. She subsequently served as Director of Client Relations for Mongoose, a leading supplier of communications software for higher education enrollment offices. Like Troove, she joined Mongoose early in their growth and successfully grew their customer base for over 8 years.

She has a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont and a Master’s degree in Managing Innovation and Information Technology from Champlain College. A native of New Jersey, she has spent 10 years teaching yoga and enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter, partner, and their rescue cockapoo.

Started in 2020, Troove is like a dating app for college, using AI to match prospective students with their ideal colleges based on the real world experience of recent graduates and current students. By showing students where to find their ideal learning and social culture fit, Troove gives them a far better chance of not just getting in, but graduating.
